About Me

Since I was nine years old, I have dreamed of being a storyteller, and I followed that dream to Cal Poly SLO, where I obtained a B.S. in Journalism. After that, I worked at Ranker for almost two years. I dove headfirst into writing and editing content, and by the time I was ready to move on from the position, I was able to churn out SEO-friendly copy guaranteed to draw eyeballs. After that, I went on to edit video content for PBS | KCET SoCal and contributed to multiple digital media websites including Collider, Distractify, StyleCaster, and The Daily Dot. 

In my current role as a Lifestyle Reporter at The Independent, I have dabbled in everything from breaking news to editorial features, tackling hot-button topics like IVF and influencers as well as events like the Met Gala and Academy Awards. As I grow as a creative storyteller, I hope to continue to keep readers on their toes.
